522. Pastoral--1. To give pastoral support and care to the clergy and diaconal ministers and their families by traveling through the district, preaching, visiting, and maintaining the connectional order of the Discipline.
2. To counsel with clergy concerning their pastoral responsibilities and diaconal ministers concerning their ministerial duties as well as other matters affecting their ministry and personal life.
3. To encourage the building of peer groups among the clergy and diaconal ministers for mutual support and discipline; to build systems of mutual support for clergy and diaconal families.
