753. The district superintendent, after consultation with the conference board, may appoint a district Director of Church and Society. Also, if desirable, a district may create a committee on church and society of laypersons and clergy, to work with the district superintendent to further the purposes of the conference board. The coordinator of the area of Christian social involvement of the district United Methodist Women shall be an ex-officio member.
