2405. Liaison Role of the Council of Bishops--1. In formal relations with other Churches and/or ecclesial bodies, the Council of Bishops shall be the primary liaison for The United Methodist Church. The secretary of the Council of Bishops shall be responsible for these relationships and shall work in cooperation with the General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns in the fulfillment of these functions.
2. The General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns shall consult with the Council of Bishops in establishing the guidelines for the administration of the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund (see 918 and 2003.15).
