There shall be in each Annual Conference, including the Central Conferences, a conference Commission of the Status and Role of Women or alternate structure. The responsibilities of the Commission on the Status and Role of Women may be assigned to an existing or newly created multifunctional agency of the Conference Council that cares for the functions of and the connectional relationships of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women, the Conference, districts, and local churches.
2. ...Each Annual Conference shall determine the number and composition of the
total membership which shall consist of not fewer than twelve nor more
than thirty-six...Among the basic members of the commission
