The charge conference, or church conference authorized by the district superintendent, shall elect persons to the office of Lay Ministry Steward (¶201). Such persons shall be recommended for election by the pastor, and may give an account of their call to their Charge Conference. Lay ministry stewards shall be recommended and elected annually (¶ 208).
