There shall be in each Annual Conference, including the Central Conferences, a conference Commission on the Status and Role of Women or alternative structure. The responsibilities of the Commission on the Status and Role of Women may be assigned to an existing or newly created multifunctional agency of the council or alternative structure that cares for the functions and connectional relationships of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women, the conference, districts, and local churches.
