1. [Third sentence] The function of this joint committee shall be a) to recommend to the General Conference for its adoption the number of bishops allocated to each of the jurisdictions for the ensuing quadrennium (¶ 502.2); and b) to discuss the possibility...responsible to the interjurisdictional committee. This legislation shall be effective immediately upon its adoption by the 1996 General Conference.
