Though We strongly discourage the use of coercion,
violence, and war are presently the ultimate sanctions in
international relations,; we reject them as
incompatible with the gospel and spirit of Christ however, history
has shown that in some instances such drastic measures are essential to
preserve human rights, religious freedom, and economic freedom. We
therefore urge the establishment of the rule of law in
international affairs as a means of elimination of to
eliminate war, violence, and coercion in these
international affairs.
