The responsibilities of the Board of Church and Society may be assigned to an existing or newly created multifunctional agency of the Council, or alternative structure, that cares for the functions and connectional relationships of the General Board of Church and Society, the conference, the districts, and the local churches. The person or persons serving as member(s) of the General Board of Church and Society shall be member(s) of the conference Board of Church and Society or equivalent structure and may be granted voting privileges.
