Whereas, AIDS is being transmitted more and more through contaminated needles used to inject drugs; and
Whereas, recent statistics indicate that Blacks are being disproportionately infected; and
Whereas, current information often does not reach Black communities; and where it does, cultural needs are not being addressed;
Therefore, be it resolved, that each local church be encouraged to establish care-giving teams, which will be trained to minister specifically to AIDS victims, their families, and the Black community, using materials from general Church agencies.
