I petition that evangelism become the number 1 missional priority of The United Methodist Church for the next quadrennium. I further petition that evangelism also become the number 1 priority of all our mission work around the world--and of all our commissions, boards, and agencies at all levels--for the purpose of persuading men, women, and children to come to Jesus Christ and so be reconciled to God. It is imperative for us to fulfill the Great Commission left to us by Jesus Christ, God's Son, to go into all the world in the power of the Holy Spirit to influence the unsaved persons of our world to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
