Understanding Petition Numbers
I petition that the Women's Division and the Board of
Church and Society withdraw their affiliation and participation with the
organization Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. RCRC's goals and
actions are not compatible with our Church's stance on abortion as stated in
our Discipline in ¶ 71H. Therefore, United Methodism should
end its relationship with the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice and
return our Church to the historic Christian position on abortion.
