Discontinuance from Certification.--Candidates may request discontinuance of certification or may be discontinued by the Board of Ordained Ministry upon recommendation of the district Committee on Ordained Ministry. Prior to any final recommendation of discontinuance without consent, a person will be advised of the right to a hearing before the executive committee of the conference Board of Ordained Ministry. A report of the hearing will be made to the full board. When certification is discontinued, persons shall no longer be permitted to exercise ministerial functions and shall surrender their credentials to the district superintendent for deposit.
