United States First Lady Hillary Clinton shared with delegates
and visitors to the 1996 General Conference how the
United Methodist Church has profoundly affected her life.
She also called on the denomination to continue its social
witness for the world's children.
The Rev. William K. Quick of Detroit gave an
introductory historical review of Methodism and the
White House, and Arkansas Bishop Richard B. Wilke
introduced Mrs. Clinton.
