| Abstract: | Theodore N. Hagan (?-?), Lay Leader in the Janes Memorial United Methodist Church, Eastern Pennsylvanian Annual Conference and Philadelphia District was an active church leader and representative on all levels of the United Methodist connection. The documents are topical and wide ranging of work in the Delaware Annual Conference, 1939 church union and a Gulfside Assembly history. Other records include a few selected items documenting the former African American Delaware Annual Conference ministries to children and youth. Included are photographs, minutes, publications and bulletins for a Children's Workers Institute and a Centennial Celebration of the Delaware Annual Conference. |

Theodore N. Hagan (?-?), Lay Leader in the Janes Memorial United Methodist Church, Eastern Pennsylvanian Annual Conference and Philadelphia District was an active church leader and representative on all levels of the United Methodist connection. He served as the Janes UMC Sunday School Superintendent. On a district level Hagan was a member of the Conference District Council and as a General Church School Work leader on the District Staff on Christian Education. Hagan also served as a delegate to both the Northeast Jurisdiction and General Conference.
The documents are topical and wide ranging of work in the Delaware Annual Conference, 1939 church union and a Gulfside Assembly history. Additional records include a few selected items documenting the former African American Delaware Annual Conference ministries to children and youth. Included are photographs, minutes, publications and bulletins for a Children's Workers Institute and a Centennial Celebration of the Delaware Annual Conference.
The photographs include group photographs of annual conference youth and young adult fellowship conferences. There are four photographs of adult leaders. Two issues of The Informer are included which was published by the Board of Education, Delaware Annual Conference (1962, 1964). The bulletins document the 1964 Centennial Celebration worship service along with the 1963 Program for the Children's Workers Institute. A 1962 Directory for the Delaware Youth Assembly, Delaware Annual Conference Methodist Youth Conference (1962) rounds out the rest of the collection.
