Abstract: Lila Jean Fraizer was a short term Methodist A-3 missionary to India with her husband during the mid-1950s. This collection consists of a book by Doris Hartman, entitled: "My Life in Hiroshima," and a memory scrapbook created by Lila Jean Fraizer. The scrapbook documents various A-3 missionaries after their service. Other materials include: a photograph album; a manuscript; biographical notes; a music score and printed materials.

Biographical Note

Lila Jean Fraizer (?-?), Methodist A-3 missionary to India, was educated at Northwestern University. Fraizer married Morris Dean Frazier before being appointed short term missionaries to India during the mid-1950s. Fraizer's assignment was social work, whereas her husband supervised the business administrator of the mission field. The Fraizers had two children. Sadly, one child died while on the mission field, whereas the other survived into adulthood.


Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of a book by Doris Hartman, entitled: "My Life in Hiroshima," and a memory scrapbook created by Lila Jean Fraizer. The scrapbook documents various A-3 missionaries after their service. Other materials include: a photograph album; a manuscript; biographical notes; a music score; and printed materials.
