5626The Alviergruppe (also: Alvierkette ) is a mountain range in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen . The highest elevation is the Gamsberg with 2385 m. The chain extends between the Rhine Valley and the Seeztal southeast of the Churfirsten from the Nideri to Sargans . Together with the Churfirsten and the Alpstein , the Alviergruppe forms the Appenzeller Alpen .
