These people are standing on the site of their new church, They bought the land and gave $500 Chinese money for the church, a surprisingly liberal contribution for people so poor and only just out of paganism. $800 from America put with their contribution built the church. It stands on the main highway from Foochow to Hinghwa and Amoy, the only gospel preaching place in a beautiful mountain enclosed valley wth a population of ten thousand.
