224. All baptized children under the care of a United Methodist Church shall be retained as preparatory members in the Church until this status is terminated by: confirmation and reception into full membership after a proper course of training both in the Church school and in the pastor's class, transfer with their families to another United Methodist Church, transfer with their families to a Church of another Christian denomination, death, withdrawal, or transfer to the constituency roll of the Church at the age of nineteen. The preparatory membership roll shall be corrected each year by adding and subtracting the names received and removed during the year, using the forms provided for this purpose.
