¶ 1607. Financing Pension and Benefit Programs--The annual conference shall be responsible for annually providing moneys in the amount necessary to meet the requirements of the pension and benefit funds, plans, and programs of the conference.

1. The board shall compute the amount to be apportioned annually to meet the requirements of the pension and benefit programs of the conference.

2. After consultation with the board, the conference council on finance and administration shall report to the annual conference the amounts computed by the board which are required to meet the needs of the pension, benefit, and relief programs of the conference.

3. Distributable pension funds from all sources, unless restricted by specific provisions or limitations, shall be disbursed by, or under the direction of, the conference board of pensions.

4. The board may accumulate a fund from the income for pension purposes, in order to stabilize the pension program of the conference.53
