H4376 Showing the battle fields of Agua Prieta where Villa first heard of the recognition of Carranza's Government by the United States. Up to this time he had been very careful not to do harm to Americans. During the battle of Agua Prieta he shifted his guns to avoid the possibility of hitting some American Soldiers just across the boarder. Note the trenches from which the Mexican fought. Many of Villa's men were left dead upon the field. He failed to take the city. StatusCompleted
