Bertha Mitchell Hess was a layperson who was deeply interested in missionary work. She financially contributed towards many missionary efforts, especially on the continents of Africa and Asia.


Scope Note

This collection contains information concerning the missionary work that Mrs. Hess provided donations to in order to help contribute to these endeavors. Some of these goals included conversion, biblical literacy, and religious education. The collection mostly involves missionary work in Africa and Asia in the format of mostly correspondence between Mrs. Hess and the missionaries.
